HOW TO HAVE VICTORY AND POWER IN PRAYER

Jeremiah 33:3 says call unto me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things which you know not. We have to pray to God, we have to seek him.  The victory and power comes when we seek his face. Jeremiah 29:11-13 God says, I know the thoughts that I think towards you, thoughts of peace, not of evil, to give you an expected end.  God is thinking about you, he wants your life to be
full of peace, not calamity and turmoil.  He says when you pray, I will listen to you, then he says, when you seek me, you shall find me, when you search for me with all your heart.  We are supposed to love God with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength. We should pray every day, not just when we feel like it.  The bible says, pray without ceasing, that means as much as possible. We need to pray because we have an enemy named satan.  He is walking around seeking whom he may devour.
The devil is looking for weak Christians, who don't pray or read their bible.  Christians who's lights are very dim.  When you don't pray, your light is dim, you have no power.  No prayer, no power!
Have you ever turned on a flashlight and the light was dim? That means the battery is weak, there's no power, no charge.  When we pray, we build ourselves up, we charge up the power dwelling on the inside of us, our light is shining bright for the glory of God.  When the devil sees that bright light, he runs, because he can't come against the power and presence of God.

There are 4 keys to having victory and power in prayer:
1. REPENT OF YOUR SINS
Psalm 66:18 If I regard iniquity or sin in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.
Rom 3:23 for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  If you have any unforgiveness
in your heart toward someone; forgive them.  Jesus said, if you don't forgive, neither will your father in heaven forgive you.
2. KNOW WHAT YOU WANT
You have to have a desire for something; be specific
Mark 11:24 What things so ever you desire when you pray, believe that you receive them and you shall have them.
3. ASK IN FAITH
Believe that what you are asking God to do in your life is already done by faith in Jesus name. Faith moves the hand of God. Without faith, it's impossible to please God.
Don't waver back and forth, don't be in doubt and unbelief. Don't be double minded.  If you waver in your faith, you won't receive anything from the Lord. James 1:5-8
4. FIND SCRIPTURES
Find the scriptures in the bible that promise you the answers to your prayers.  If you need to be healed, look for scriptures on healing and confess them over your body. Whatever you need to have a successful life, it's in the word of God.  The bible is full of precious promises that will give you the answers to your prayers.

Ephesians 6:10-18  Finally, bretheren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might.
Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
What is the definition of armour?  It is any covering worn as a defense against weapons.
Why do we need armour to be able to stand against the wiles of the devil?  First of all, what does the word wiles mean?  It is to trick, or fool, trap or entice, or a beguiling behavior.
God says we need the whole armour to be able to stand in the evil day.  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
The first essential part is the Belt of Truth which is the truth in the word of God.  Jesus said that satan is the father of lies; we need the truth of God's word, so we won't be deceived.
The Breastplate of Righteousness guards our heart and protects us from the wickedness of this world.
That righteousness only comes from receiving Jesus Christ as our Savior.  The breastplate keeps our hearts strong and pure for God.
The Gospel of Peace keeps us prepared to share the good news of the gospel to ultimately bring peace between God and man.
The Shield of Faith guards us against satan's deadliest weapons called doubt and unbelief.  Our faith in God and his word will shield us from the fiery darts of the wicked.
The Helmet of Salvation protects our head and guards our mind and thoughts.
2Corinthians 10:4,5 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds.  Casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalteth it self against the knowledge of God and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.
The Sword of the Spirit which is the word of God is sharper than any double-edged sword, quick and powerful, divides the soul and the spirit, joints and marrow and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.  The word of God is our best defense.
The Power of Prayer is also part of the armour, we must pray in the spirit with all kinds of prayers and requests, interceding in behalf of all of God's people.
Satan hates when we pray, because he knows that God hears and answers prayer.
We must keep the line of communication open with our heavenly father.  There is power in prayer.
Jesus said, whatsoever you ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive. Matthew 21:22
Keep the whole armour of God on every day, never take it off and you will have the victory over the enemy in your life.
